Daftar Standar NEMA adalah kumpulan judul standar dari National Electrical Manufacturers Association mengenai produsen peralatan listrik.

Standar NEMA adalah standar dari asosiasi perdagangan terbesar produsen peralatan listrik di Amerika Serikat bernama National Electrical Manufacturers Association.

Organisasi NEMA

National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) adalah asosiasi perdagangan terbesar produsen peralatan listrik di Amerika Serikat.

Organisasi ini didirikan pada tahun 1926, dengan kantor pusatnya di Rosslyn, Virginia, di wilayah metropolitan Washington.

Kegiatan utama dari NEMA antara lain adalah melakukan advokasi industri dan menerbitkan standar untuk produk listrik.

Salah satu peran khusus dari NEMA adalah menentukan bentuk stop kontak listrik dan colokan listrik rumah tangga di Amerika Serikat.

NEMA memiliki sekitar 350 perusahaan anggota yang memproduksi produk yang digunakan dalam bidang :

  • generation use of electricity : pembangkitan listrik,
  • transmission use of electricity : transmisi listrik,
  • distribution use of electricity : distribusi listrik,
  • control use of electricity : pengendalian listrik,
  • end use of electricity : pengguna listrik umum.

Produk-produk tersebut diatas digunakan dalam berbagai lingkup aplikasi seperti : utilitas, industri, komersial, institusional, dan perumahan.

Divisi Medical Imaging and Technology Alliance (MITA) dalam asosiasi, mewakili produsen peralatan pencitraan diagnostik medis mutakhir untuk produk : MRI, CT, x-ray, dan ultrasound.

Pasar akhir utama lainnya seperti :

  • sistem bangunan,
  • infrastruktur kelistrikan,
  • sistem industri,
  • sistem penerangan
  • dan sistem utilitas.

Gabungan dari berbagai industri tersebut telah menyumbang 360.000 pekerjaan di Amerika, dengan lebih dari 7.000 fasilitas di setiap negara bagian.

Industri mereka menghasilkan $106 miliar pengiriman peralatan listrik dan teknologi pencitraan medis per tahun, dengan nilai ekspor mencapai $36 miliar.

NEMA juga memiliki kantor perwakilan di Mexico City.

Selain aktivitas lobi, NEMA juga menerbitkan lebih dari 700 standar, panduan aplikasi, white papers, dan makalah teknis.
